Bid Perfect's Critical Bid Management Process is an entirely flexible and bespoke service that ensures your bid will be professional, powerful and a winner. So then, what should you expect from Bid Perfect? The key stages are as follows:

  • Thorough analysis of the client tender document. This will enable us to gain a clear understanding of the scope and requirements of the bid or tender response that will be produced.
  • Attending your initial bid project meeting - sometimes called the 'kick-off' meeting.
  • If required, we will construct the project plan in line with best bid practice.
  • Operate as point of liaison with the bid manager and bid writer, the sales person or team and other subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • We will provide comprehensive advice on researching the client, developing the win-strategy, the evidence to be provided, the drafting of a Benefits Matrix and the general writing of the tender document.
  • We will monitor your internal bid process and, where deficiencies or weaknesses are identified, we will provide ad hoc or long term solutions.
  • We will provide an on-going review process which will challenge the information given, general text, format, layout and overall style of the document, where we feel it is prudent to do so.
  • We will discuss with you the evidence you are providing to support your bid and, if we think it appropriate, we may recommend that you re-think, update or provide additional proof.
  • Bid Perfect will provide expert editing and proofing personnel when required.
  • Milestones and deadlines will be managed effectively.
  • We will provide unlimited telephone support for all personnel involved in the production of the bid.
  • Ongoing personnel development via substantially reduced rates on our proven and successful bid training courses.

As your bid consultants we will integrate seamlessly with your existing team and provide expert advice and coaching to all involved in the writing of the bid or tender. We understand your bid personnel will be used to writing regularly, but some stakeholders who contribute less frequently to bids will need more intensive guidance.

What are the costs?

Whilst not wishing to evade the question, it is a challenge to provide an absolute cost for our service. This is because there are many variables to be considered such as the complexity of the document, the amount of new material to be written, the differing levels of expertise within your existing team, the amount of time allocated to write the bid and the depth of resource required from Bid Perfect.

There are two models for pricing a project: the first is a standard day rate, which again is variable depending upon the seniority of the bid or tender consultant you require. As a general guide the charge will be between £495 and £995 per day, depending on the level of accountablilty and seniority your consultant will be expected to hold.

The second pricing model is based on a reduced day rate plus a negotiable percentage of the contract value should it be a successful bid. Typically, you should expect to pay slightly more for the sharing of the risk.
